It was the 5th biennial ASLM international conference, bringing together laboratory, public health and clinical experts, health care providers as well as public and private sector leaders, non-profit and multilateral organisations, academia and health care practitioners to discuss the latest technical and policy developments, and share their experience in the field of laboratory medicine in Africa.
ASLM2021 ( was held virtually from 15-18 November 2021 and centred around the theme ‘ Responding to outbreaks through resilient laboratory systems: Lessons learnt from the COVID-19 pandemic’.
